Thanks to Lynn for sending us the photos and story of a great day of fishing with Pete of megabites guide service.
This was a very special day, for both us and the Kids, and one that they will not soon forget. Pete was both very professional, and courteous to the kids, working his hardest to get the kids into some fish. It was a beautiful day on the Columbia River yesterday. We put in at Beacon Rock, and started out up below Bonneville Dam, hoping to get the kids into a BIG chinook. Part way though the morning, Pete announced that we were going to have a "raffle" and asked everyone to put there names in his hat. He had purchased a small gift for each of the kids, and this was his way to make the day more enjoyable, for the kids. They REALLY liked the gifts he had brought along. Somehow, only the kids names came out of the hat...
In order to get the kids into some fish, Pete decided to switch over and take the kids Sturgeon fishing. Neither of the kids had ever fished for Sturgeon before. Jacob wasn't too sure he wanted to try that. He didn't think he would like fishing for them. Here are some pictures of the kids.
All in all, the kids landing 5 sturgeon, before we had to head back to the dock. Here's another picture of Jacob and me.. If you look real close, you will see the Big Smile.
